Business studies is a field of study that deals with the principles of business, management and economics. It combines elements of accountancy, finance, marketing, organizational studies, human resource management and operations. Business studies is a broad subject, where the range of topics is designed to give the student a general overview of the various elements of running a business. It includes a range of subjects, which gives the student general understanding of the various elements of running a business. Subjects covered include, but are not limited to: Business Organization, People in business, marketing, operations and production, finance and strategic management. Business Studies is an option for National and Higher qualifications.

Understanding the core values of business is the first step towards opportunities in management and if this is of interest to you, the business degree be it Bachelors or Masters may be an option to consider.

These programs explore how international trade and finance policies and relations affect business decisions and analyse the real-world practices of international marketing, global financial markets, international trade operations and many other relevant areas. Students also can study how to adapt marketing strategies for international markets, construct management practices and processes in an international environment while recognizing global differences, and manage operations and production on a global scale.

Eligibility requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.1 or higher for graduate admission
  • English language Proficiency or equivalent
  • Submit the program’s Letter of Recommendation
